There are so many lovely cozy things about a winter wedding, and both of these events were no exception.

First we headed to Stone Mountain for Alicia and Peyton where with transformed a picnic pavilion into the most gorgeous ceremony space. Below is a teaser photo of the fireside ceremony from Christine Gallagher. Jackson | Durham , Quest Drape and Irvin Antley partnered with us to create the ceremony space!

It was a stunning way to end our year!

Up next was our first wedding of the year with Kelsey and Bryce at Country Club of the South. Andy Beach and Associates designed a gorgeous scape of ivory and silver to create an elegant wintry feel. 

]]>Modern/Pop Art Nurseryhttp://www.toast-events.com/blog/2012/1/8/modernpop-art-nursery.htmlLindsay2012-01-09T00:17:14Z2012-01-09T00:17:14ZWhile this post is not wedding related, I am so impressed with the creativity of this nursery décor, I had to share. Granted, I am partial as its for my soon-to-be-born niece or nephew. My brother and sister-in-law have kept the nursery progress under wraps until each detail was complete. We were privy to the theme of modern art and a few color hints, but that was it until the big reveal.

I am pleased to share the completed nursery with you, a complete work of art! My sister-in-law, Susan is a talented artist that crafted many of these items as Mike worked hard at assembling, lugging and painting!

The collage on the wall features replicas of the greats, Jasper Johns, Jackson Pollock, Matisse, Warhol and  Lichtenstein.

My dad built a toy box that Susan painted to resemble Warhol’s Brillo Box.

Now all we need is the baby….premiering  March 17th!

A little bit about her...

Amanda graduated from Wesleyan School in Norcross, Georgia. After graduation, she pursued her dream of living the big city life by attending DePaul University located in the heart of Chicago, Illinois. During college, she discovered her love of event planning through being elected as the Social Chair for her sorority. She then went on to hold several internships in the wedding industry in Chicago. After graduation, she moved back down south to enjoy the warm weather and Chick Fil A and begin a career in Southern Weddings! She is so excited to begin her wedding industry career with TOAST and can't wait to see what 2012 has in store!

TOAST is feaured as Modern Luxury's "Top Five" in the January 2012 Issue of Jezebel Magazine  on news stands now!

Lindsay has also recently been nominated by Stiletto Woman for the 2012 Woman Business Award for Entrepreneur of the Year in the Wedding and Events Category. The winner will be announed in March at a ceremony in Atlanta.

It's the final day of 2011, and I am still reeling from our last wedding of the year last night. I am beyond thankful for the wonderful clients and events this year brought, and beaming about what is already in store for 2012. Our new associate Amanda begins in the new year, I can't wait to introduce her to everyone! 

2011 we were fortunate to help 18 couples plan their Signature Celebrations! TOAST was featured in six different magazines including Life & Style, The Atlantan Brides, Weddings Unveiled and Occasions Magazine! We also had six of our weddings featured online with Style Me Pretty and even Martha Stewart's blog Martha's Circle! 

Thank you to our brides, our vendor partners and our friends and family that made this year possible!

Wishing you and ours a wonderful celebration into 2012! We hope we can pop some champagne and TOAST with you in the New Year!

It has been an incredible year, TOAST has planned weddings for some of the most fabulous couples..each one being a Signature Celebration that reflected them impeccably.

 

There are so many blessings I am grateful for, but to narrow them down more specifically I’d like to thank..


 :: My amazing parents who always wait up for my call after a wedding so I can re-count every glorious detail.

 

:: My genius brother and creative sister-in-law who always have great advice to share and give.

 

:: My best friend Laurene, who sprinkles my mailbox with “I’m proud of you” cards on a more than regular basis.

 

:: My girlfriends, the ATLs that support me, make me laugh and rally for Sunday Brunch with me so sometimes I can feel like I didn’t miss out on ALL weekend activities.

 

:: My dog Finn, whom I rescued from the rough streets of the ATL one year ago…sometimes I think he rescued me.

 

:: My industry friends around the country, that never tire of hearing my ideas, and questions and answer emails at all hours.

 

:: My TOAST preferred partners, without your product and expertise I wouldn’t be able to do my job. You allow me to put all of my trust in you, so I can fuscous on my brides..we make a great TEAM!

 

:: And finally, My Brides…you make me jump out of bed in the morning to get to work on your wedding plans. I’m so glad you chose me to orchestrate your special day.
